Open letter – Umeme must release report of investigations into electrocuted pupils and housemaid in Rubaga, Kampala

In the letter, AFIEGO calls on the company to make public its findings on what caused the electrocution, and consequent death, of two pupils and a housemaid early this month (March 1, 2018) in Rubaga, Kampala.

For several years now, UMEME has blamed victims of electrocutions yet it should be held accountable over failure to ensure the safety of electricity installations.

AFIEGO also calls on government to penalise UMEME over its failure to ensure  safety of its installations.
