AFIEGO calls on parliament to address the injustices of unfair, delayed and under-compensation committed against the refinery project-affected people (PAPs) of Hoima. 

 

These injustices, which AFIEGO requested the  Auditor General (AG) to carry out investigations on, are identified in the AG’s report of 2017. 

 

AFIEGO also calls for the penalisation of Ministry of Energy officials who caused losses to taxpayers amounting to millions of shillings because of the officials’ failure to ensure an efficient compensation process for the refinery PAPs.
