Communique calling on President Museveni and his government to stop intimidating citizens and abusing the Constitution

The communique is in reaction to President Museveni’s recent countrywide land sensitisation campaigns. The campaigns are meant to, among others, popularise the proposed amendment to Article 26 of the Uganda Constitution to allow government to acquire citizens’ property prior to prompt payment of fair and adeqaute compensation in case of disputes.
The communique calls on President Museveni and his government to stop intimidating the media and citizens and further shows that the proposed land amendments are not for the common good.
