Dickens Kamugisha is the current Chief Executive Officer of Africa Institute for Energy Governance (AFIEGO). He is also an advocate of the High Court of Uganda and a member of Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society.
Mr. Kamugisha has undertaken many professional trainings including Access to Biological Resources, Benefit Sharing and Material Transfer Agreement (ABS), International Trade Policy, Bio-safety Mechanisms-Intellectual Property Law and Health in Africa, NGO Leaders Capacity Building Strategy and others.
He has written widely on oil and electricity governance. Mr. Kamugisha holds a Master of Laws degree majoring in Energy Governance from Makerere University, Kampala-Uganda.

Margret Kwijuka is the Finance and Administration Manager at AFIEGO. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kampala International University (KIU). She has also acquired certificates in computerised accounting using tally and QuickBooks from Africa Population Consult-Makerere. Ms. Kwijuka is also a registered a CPA student at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU).
Prior to joining AFIEGO, Ms. Kwijuka worked with Dynapharm International Congo-Brazzaville as the Finance and Administration Manager. She also worked with VisionFund Uganda and Micro Enterprise Development Network as a cashier.
Ms. Kwijuka is adaptable and offers a wealth of national and international human resources’ and accounting experience to AFIEGO.

Diana Nabiruma is the Senior Communications Officer at AFIEGO. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Makerere University and a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University. She has six years’ journalism experience from The Observer newspaper and has widely written articles about human rights abuses perpetrated by the state and other actors.
Ms. Nabiruma has also extensively written articles aimed at improving the livelihoods of Ugandans and others purposed towards improving conservation attitudes amongst members of the public. She boasts of skills in communicating for development, carrying out in-depth research, writing and disseminating information via traditional and new media among other skills.

Samuel Okulony is the programmes and Research Coordinator at AFIEGO. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Science Technology and Management degree from Kyambogo University and has undergone trainings in communication, Justice River, climate change adaptation, natural disaster management and management accounting for Non-Governmental Organisations (MANGO).
He has held various leadership positions throughout his academic career. Before joining AFIEGO, Samuel worked with Jawo Industries Limited as Assistant Safety Officer and did his internship training at Soroti district local government.

Angella Tusiime is the project assistant at AFIEGO. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Communication from Makerere University (First Class Honours). She has written for The Observer Newspaper and holds a strong foundation in literature and communication for development. She boosts of skills in documentation, community work, photography and video production.
She is particularly passionate about social justice and positive transformation within communities.
Prior to joining AFIEGO, Ms. Tusiime worked with Film 256 under the project Youth for Film, a project funded by the US Embassy, where she was in charge of documenting the project’s successes and shortcomings. She has also worked with Success Africa, a human consultancy firm, as the communications and multimedia officer.

Ruth Akampurira is the Administrative Assistant at AFIEGO. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate diploma in Financial Management from Uganda Management Institute (UMI).
Before joining AFIEGO, she worked with BRAC Uganda Microfinance Ltd as a Branch Accounts Officer and with Dynapharm International in the Democratic Republic of Congo as a Finance and Administration Manager. Ms. Akampurira offers AFIEGO a wealth of experience in administration management.

Ampeire Evas K. is the IT and Results Officer at AFIEGO. Before joining AFIEGO, Ms. Ampeire worked with Agency for Transformation as an IT and Office Administrator .
She holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Uganda Christian University, Mukono. She also obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Graphics and Design certificate from Makerere University.

Sandra Atusinguza is a Research Associate at AFIEGO. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Uganda Christian University, Mukono.
Before joining AFIEGO, Ms. Atusinguza volunteered with Kitara Heritage Development Agency (KHEDA) in the oil and gas department. She also volunteered with Reproductive Health Uganda.
